Archivo is a guide for people who read cities the way others read books — through facades, wayfinding, coffee bars, type on shop windows, and the thousand small decisions that make a place feel like itself.

We are Sergii and Yana — a designer and an architect based in Amsterdam. We travel, we take notes, we argue about buildings, and we turn the notes into guides we wish existed: personal, specific, and opinionated.

Every city here gets the same treatment: how to get started, how to move, where to eat and drink, what to photograph, which buildings matter — and the bigger pieces: the city’s design code, walks we’ve tested on our own feet, and conversations with the people of design who shape the place.

We only recommend what we’d take a friend to. No sponsored spots, no top-10s copied from other top-10s.
